Getting Started

Do I have to book both practices?

No — and most clients don't. The styling practice and the business management practice are separate offerings with separate clients. Book whichever fits. The only place they deliberately overlap is the combined Style & Story engagement.

Is this remote, in person, or both?

Both. Style discovery, colour analysis, brand strategy and reviews all work well remotely. Closet edits, shopping, fittings, bridal trials and shoot days are in person where it genuinely matters.

How many clients do you take on?

The roster is kept intentionally small so that every client gets real attention rather than a place in a queue. Reach out and we can talk through current availability.

Do I need a big budget to work with you?

The method doesn't change with the budget. What changes is where we shop and how much we buy — not the quality of the thinking. Plenty of the best results come from editing and re-combining what a client already owns.

What if I'm not sure which service I need?

That's normal, and it's exactly what the discovery call is for. People often arrive asking for a closet edit and actually need fashion therapy, or ask for a shoot and actually need positioning first.

What if it turns out not to be the right fit?

Not every enquiry turns into a working relationship, and that's completely fine. The first conversation is as much about checking fit as anything else — honestly, and without pressure.

Do I need to have everything figured out first?

Not at all. A rough sense of what isn't working — a wardrobe that stopped fitting the life, too much admin, a launch coming up — is more than enough to start with.

Is there a cost to the first conversation?

The first conversation is just that — a conversation. Cost only comes into it once there's an actual scope to discuss, and that's always set out clearly at the proposal stage.

Can I enquire on behalf of someone else?

Yes — just say so in your message and who it's for, and the right next steps will go to the right person.

How is my information handled?

With care, and only for the purpose of following up on your enquiry — see the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

What if it isn't the right fit after we talk?

That's a completely normal outcome of a first call — no pressure, no hard sell, and no hard feelings either way.

Business & Brand Management

Can I start with just one service?

Yes. Plenty of engagements start narrow — one or two services — and expand once there's a working rhythm. Nothing is bundled that you didn't ask for.

Can services be combined into a custom package?

That's the norm rather than the exception. Most of the value shows up when a few pieces work together — content and business development sharing one calendar and one view of the business, for example.

How is this billed?

Billing structure depends on the scope agreed for your engagement, and it's set out plainly at the proposal stage — before anything starts, not after.

Can the scope change after we start?

Yes. As the brand or the season changes, the scope flexes with it. That flexibility is part of ongoing management, not a separate renegotiation each time.

Is there a fixed-term contract?

Terms are set out plainly in the proposal before anything begins, so you know exactly what you're agreeing to going in.

How is this different from hiring one freelancer?

A single specialist handles one piece of the puzzle. This is the operating layer underneath the whole business — deals, content, styling logistics and follow-through working as one connected system, rather than separate people who don't talk to each other.

Work, Photographs & Privacy

Are the quotes on this page real?

Not yet — they're placeholders, marked clearly in brackets, standing in for the layout until real clients confirm their words.

Why aren't full names used?

Some clients prefer to keep their styling and business relationships private. Where a client is comfortable being named, it's a pleasure to include it — it's always their choice.

Can I speak to a reference directly?

Worth asking during the first conversation. Where a client is open to it, a direct conversation can sometimes be arranged.

Will I be asked for a testimonial if I become a client?

Only ever after real work is done, and only if you're comfortable. Giving a testimonial is never a condition of working together.

Why aren't clients named here yet?

Because a photograph and a name are different things. Clients have agreed to their images appearing here; being named publicly is a separate permission, and several prefer their styling to stay private.

Can I see real results before I commit?

Ask during the first conversation. Where a client has agreed to share more detail privately, it can sometimes be discussed one to one even before it's published here.

Will my work be featured without asking me?

No. Nothing about your wardrobe, business, deals or results is published anywhere without your explicit permission — see the Privacy Policy and Terms for how information is handled.

What if I'd rather stay off this page entirely?

Entirely your call. Plenty of client relationships stay completely private — being featured is always opt-in, never a condition of working together.

Still Wondering Something?

Ask directly — it's usually a two-line answer, and there's no obligation attached to asking.
