Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 August 2026. This page explains what information tanyajain.co.in collects, why, and how it's protected.
This Privacy Policy applies to tanyajain.co.in and www.tanyajain.co.in (together, "this website"), operated by Tanya Jain ("we", "us", "our"). It explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It does not cover information collected through separate, direct client engagements — those are governed by the specific agreement you sign with us.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways:
Information you give us
When you use the enquiry form on this website, we collect your name, and whatever of the following you choose to share: email address, phone/WhatsApp number, the area you're enquiring about, and your message.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our server automatically logs standard technical information for security purposes — such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. We use this only to keep the site secure and reliable (for example, to prevent spam and abuse of the enquiry form), not to build a profile of individual visitors.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you submit through the enquiry form to:
- respond to your enquiry and get in touch about working together;
- keep a record of the enquiry and our conversation in our client management system, so nothing gets lost or forgotten;
- send you a follow-up if you haven't heard back, so your message doesn't sit unanswered; and
- meet our legal and accounting obligations, where relevant.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
3. Consent
By submitting the enquiry form, you consent to us collecting and using your information as described in this Policy. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us at hello@tanyaguppta.com — we will stop using your information for further outreach, subject to any records we're required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.
4. Cookies & Similar Technologies
This website uses a single first-party cookie to remember that you've seen and responded to our cookie notice, so it doesn't show again on your next visit. That's it — at the time of writing, this website does not use third-party advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics services. If that ever changes (for example, if we add analytics to understand site traffic), we'll update this section first and adjust the cookie notice accordingly.
You're free to block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; doing so simply means the cookie notice may reappear on future visits.
5. How We Store & Protect Your Information
Information submitted through this website is stored on a private server that we operate and control directly — it is not handed off to third-party marketing or CRM platforms. Access is restricted to Tanya Jain and her team. We apply reasonable security practices and procedures in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its associated rules, including restricted access, secure hosting, and regular backups.
No method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and while we work hard to protect your information, we can't guarantee absolute security.
6. Sharing & Disclosure
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We may share it only with:
- service providers who help us run this website and our business operations (for example, our hosting provider), strictly to the extent needed to provide that service, and under an obligation to keep it confidential; or
- authorities, where we're required to by law, regulation, or a valid legal process.
7. Data Retention
We keep enquiry and client information for as long as it's reasonably needed for the business relationship and our legal and accounting obligations, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever is relevant. You can ask us to delete your information at any time; see Section 8 below.
8. Your Rights
You can ask us, at any time, by writing to hello@tanyaguppta.com, to:
- tell you what information we hold about you;
- correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information, subject to what we're legally required to retain; and
- withdraw any consent you previously gave.
We'll respond within a reasonable time, and in any case within 30 days. As India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its rules come into effect in phases, this section will be updated to reflect any additional rights available to you as a data principal under that law.
9. Children's Privacy
This website and our services are directed at adults — working professionals and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we'll remove it.
10. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder, the Grievance Officer for this website is:
Tanya Jain
Email: hello@tanyaguppta.com
If you have a complaint or concern about how your information has been handled, please write to the above address. We aim to acknowledge and resolve grievances within 30 days.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Subject to the above, any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Delhi, India.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time — for example, as our practices evolve or as Indian data protection law develops. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever we do. Significant changes will be reflected here; we encourage you to review this page occasionally.
